A bad day for Nintendo and Sega. The American version of Sony's PlayStation 2 has hit the stores. The system retails for about $299 and has 20 launch titles. Some of the games mentioned were Tekken Tag, Midnight Club, Smuggler's Run, Street Fighter EX3, Ridge Racer. According to Sony, the system has the ability to play DVD movies and ALL existing PlayStation CD's.
In line with this, Nintendo timely released The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask for the N64 to compete with the launch of Sony's PS2.
