Harry Potter's First Kiss
Daniel Radcliffe, the star of the Harry Potter series said this Friday while in Tokyo for the premiere of the latest installment, that it took a few takes to get over the nerves of getting the young wizard through his first on-screen kiss with Cho Chang.
In “Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix,” the latest in the megahit series based on J.K. Rowling’s books, Harry comes of age and has his first on-screen kiss, with longtime crush Cho Chang, played by Katie Leung.
Katie made her debut in one of the most coveted roles of the recent years: as Cho Chang, the love interest of the one and only Harry Potter, in "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire." Katie had to beat out over 4000 other girls who tried out for the part. Katie's parents divorced, and she and her two brothers and one sister live with her father in Scotland.
Katie Leung is a pretty, intelligent eighteen year-old teenage girl who lives in a £400,000 house in an exclusive district of Motherwell, near Glasgow, Scotland, United Kingdom with her father Peter, two brothers and a younger sister. Her stardom on fame happened when she got appointed to play the part of Cho Chang, who is Harry's first crush, in the Harry Potter movie series. She beat more than 4,000 hopeful girls, including former "Neighbors" star Michelle Ang, who queued for hours at open auditions in February of 2004.
