GameOPS [video games, gadgets, etc.]

Thursday, September 06, 2007

GameBrains, a leading independent video game developer located in Kuala Lumpur, today announced that is has signed a deal to develop multiple titles on the Nintendo Wii and Nintendo DS gaming consoles for US$11.6 million.

“These projects will ensure our continued presence as one of Southeast-Asia’s leading game developers, and drive our continued expansion for years to come,” said Brett Bibby, CEO of GameBrains.

The games will be developed on both platforms simultaneously, with staggered development of the titles over the duration of the project. The games, all based on well-known animated intellectual properties, will be distributed worldwide by a leading publisher.

GameBrains also announced they have secured a new facility in the heart of Kuala Lumpur of more than 10,000 square feet that will be equipped to handle the company’s expansion plans as well as their next-generation game development needs.
