I think this entry is a bit too late but I think I need to air out my side. I've been assigned several projects and thus explain my blogging leave. I think it's unfair for my friends if I sit here and do nothing while this Jester-in-exile guy insults my friends and twists their blog posts to make them (us) look like bitter losers.
The Philippine Blog Awards is over. Rocky and Siopao Master did a great job in exposing the irregularities of the Level Up! Gaming Blog Award in GameOPS and Jepoy did the same thing and in effect, also effectively defended Rocky. I don't know where to start but one thing is for sure, we are not questioning the Philippine Blog Awards and its organizers. Our concern was limited to the special awards of Level-Up! Games (and as I see it now, has escalated to the Nokia Awards).
I don't want to go into details on what happened with the Nokia Special Awards. You can read them on GameOPS and Jepoy's blog. You can find these posts thorough enough.
Now, what I want to have my focus on is the atrocities this Jester guy has been peddling on the internet. He has been accusing my friends of maliciously accusing the integrity of the people involved. I may be out on a blogging leave but I do read their posts over and over and over and I didn’t see any “malicious intent”.

The judges weren't the convenors; had they a problem with the judging, it would have been correct to go and cyberpicket Level Up! Games, and not the Philippine Blog Awards Convenors. The panel of that category were a completely different group from the judges of the non-sponsor awards.
If your flowery-riched vocabulary is the same as your analytical skills, then, you should have understand what Siopao Master was trying to say. He was questioning the judges of the Level-Up! Award, not the convenors of the Philippine Blog Awards 2008.
Check the title of Siopao Master’s post, “Level-up being biased in The Philippine Blog Awards 2”. Did he mention anything about the convenors of the Philippine Blog Awards 2? You know what Jester, it is customary to READ the subject of the blog post first before quoting and reacting to the content.Here we have a blogger who has attached the honor and integrity, the very word and worth of the people involved, by implying that there was some irregularity based on favoritism... the charge of "palakasan". Was this fair and without malice?
Attached the honor and integrity by implying? Where? The post is about honest questions. Rocky already cleared on his updated post that the malice you have been claiming (if there is any) is incidental and not intended. But with your twisted mind, I doubt you'll see past that. Consider: out of thirty-six categories of which there were more than six hundred entries, of which only a small fraction of which were entered by volunteers, there were only two winning entries were of those who were volunteers. Do the math and then let us know if there was any favoritism involved.
Does accepting late entries and placing them to the finalists and accepting entries who haven’t followed the rules no favoritism or special treatment at all? You cannot stop people from asking these questions when Rocky and Jepoy already dismissed every excuse the involved parties stated. The video delay problem was explained by Jepoy, and Rocky pointed out some intriguing screenshots about the videos.
I'll not ask you to do the math, but let's do the locomotion!The fact of the matter is this: the quality of this blogger's work was not up to scratch compared to what the judges wanted. Instead of graciously accepting defeat and making the choice to give out better work this time, quite obviously this blogger is impugning the credibility, integrity, and honesty of people who, yet again we must mention, have worked their asses off just to make the awards a success.
You're twisting the facts. Yada yada yada yikiti yikiti yack... You combined Rocky and Siopao Master's entries and mixed them into one. Should I decipher them properly for you one by one?
Here's the fact: Level-Up! has devoted 80% to the content criteria. Our website (correction, it's now a blog) has been online since 1999, a time where you probably still use a typewriter. Obviously we have content. Then Level-Up! included two blogs on the list of finalist with only 3 posts? Don't you think that's questionable enough? We are not telling them to give GameOPS the award, but we question why 2 blogs with 3 posts qualified as finalists while we don’t.
Let me ask you a question. What would you do if a freshly grad who flunked several times got accepted in a job instead of you? A job you really wanted and had wet dreams now and then. Wouldn't you question them? SERIOUSLY.So, to that question "you decide", here's my decision: You. Lost. Admit defeat and suck it up. Improve, evolve, or extinction. For you to imply that those who were finalists and were eventually awarded were given these honors because of some elitist, cliquish favoritism is to attack with malice aforethought the integrity of the convenors, the judges, the volunteers, the nominees and those who nominated them.
You quoted Siopao Master’s Level-Up post then deliberately shifted to Rocky's post where he was asking about the Level-Up! and Nokia awards. I never read the terms elitist, cliquish, favoritism, etc. on Siopao's post. Siopao Master's post is about Level-Up! Games for crying out loud!In defense of the convenors, judges, and volunteers, who with much composure and grace under pressure have put up with this sort of mudslinging, here's what I have to say: There is nothing more annoying than some passive-aggressive whiner who pretends to be conciliatory but in the same breath attacks with rabid malice, especially when the attacks impugn the credibility, probity, and integrity of those who have done nothing but their best efforts for the community. Nulla cogito, vermis est.
Actually, there's nothing more annoying than to read your entire blog entry for 10 minutes if it can be done by 3 or 5. Your highfalutin words don't compensate for your lack of sense. Your blog post of 3000 words or so could have been written with 1500 words with the same thought. You use too much words. Have you used your oh so deep vocabulary you might have snagged that girl you bitch about. See, The Journal of The Jester-in-Exile has been active in the blogosphere long before it was recognized by awards-giving bodies, let alone mainstream media, let alone my own peers.
So you’re boasting that you’ve been blogging since what? June 2005? So what? You can’t even insert a simple Adsense banner and your blog looks ugly. You call yourself a geek?! Ooops... no Ad-hominem. Got carried away, Sorry.
You know what Jester, you've placed Poytee in a difficult situation. Rocky and Jepoy wouldn't have posted those "evidences" if weren't for your big mouth. This could have ended if one side didn’t get too emotional. Then you posted these sh*ts on your blog. How’s that for winning some best blog post about news. You can’t even get the facts right. What a waste.
I’ve also read the cursing you made towards a blogger named bluepanjeet.I don’t know bluepanjeet and reyna elena but I did read their blogs. The entries you quoted definitely were written way before the Philippine Blog Awards 2 night.
You said that you defend free expression but one must be careful in crossing the line, “virjunaljester says: i defend free expression -- you have the right to be stupid, after all -- but be very very careful with crossing lines”.
But what the hell does this plurk mean, “virjunaljester says: rocky is an effing idiot. seriously. no malicious intent? heh, i could prosecute him with his post if i wanted to” And this from your very own blog, “Therefore, bluepanjeet, here's my response to your charge that those such as I write with the intent of receiving awards and not because it is my passion: THIS IS MY PASSION. For belittling my passion for writing, TANGINAMO.”
Aren’t you crossing the line yourself? Cursing an innocent blogger who doesn’t even know who you are and calling Rocky and effing idiot. You should prosecute yourself. You’re the one who’s petulant, not us. Remember this? “virjunaljester says so eugene. tell me, what is next for these petulant children? what now after their claim of "no malicious intent?”

So, are you mature enough to admit your mistake? Don’t worry, I won’t prosecute you. I’m not a lawyer. But I heard that Rocky, Jepoy and Mark’s childhood friend and one of the founders of igad, the grand daddy of GameOPS, is willing to take the case. Right Rocky?
In defense of my friends and some bloggers (who I even don’t know), whom you, Jester-in-Exile, attacked personally just to justify your award, I don't need thousands of highfalutin words to describe you. I only need 4: You. Suck. Very glaringly.
