Filipino Gamer Performs Awesome Legend of Zelda Theme

Nintendo's The Legend of Zelda franchise is one of the best video game franchises in history in terms of storyline, music and game play. Hearing the original Zelda theme in orchestra gave me goosebumps, but hearing and seeing Filipino Diwa De Leon perform the Zelda theme in violin and A capella gave me more than goosebumps. HE'S AWESOME!

This is my own rendition of the themes from Legend of Zelda game composed by Koji Kondo. Most of my picks came from Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past originally for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES).

I'm a professional composer, arranger and violinist, and cosplaying is one of my hobbies as well as playing video game music just for fun.

Sheet music is NOT available as this is my own arrangement and it's not available anywhere else. I don't notate my works unless it is a necessity. Most of the time I record my works directly upon conceptualization.

Diwa De Leon, or Master Diwa as he is popularly known, is the grandson of Filipino national artist in Music Felipe Padilla de Leon, Sr. and has a Bachelor's Degree in Music from the University of the Philippines. He's currently a composer for films and TV, a video gamer, a music teacher, recording artist, blogger and a violinist for his band Makiling.

Some of his notable works include the official theme music for GMA Network's Survivor Philippines, the soundtracks of Filipino indie film Kolorete and Pandanggo. His work on the indie film Kolorete won the Cinema One Originals "Best Music Score" in 2008.

It took me 3 months to finish Ocarina of Time, but it only took me 5 minutes to love Diwa's work. Nice job man!
