Wolfenstein RPG for iPhone ($2.99)

Wolfenstein RPG for the iPhone (and iPod Touch) was released last August 12 at a price point of $4.99. Looks like it's now on sale at only $2.99. I just bought it on the Japanese iTunes store for 350 Yen. That's a pretty good deal, considering this game is supposed to contain 8 hours worth of gameplay.

I haven't played much of it yet, but so far, it's shaping up to be a good iPhone game, especially since not until now have I downloaded an iPhone game that actually played well (like i Love Katamari - that was SO disappointing). From what I've noticed, the controls are usually problematic on the iPhone. But because Wolfenstein RPG is, as the title implies, an RPG, it's not real-time action intensive, therefore there is no need for quick, accurate controls.

Yeah, I know that an FPS like Wolfenstein turning into an RPG sounds strange, but id Software seems to have managed to pull this one off well. Not only does it play well, the art-style looks great, there's a decent storyline, and lots of loot and secrets to find.

Unfortunately, there is still no demo version of the game, unlike most games on the iTunes store, which means you can't try it before buying. But hey, at 350 Yen (roughly 175 Pesos), how can you go wrong?
