Recently, players of Philippine Ragnarok Online were complaining that their GMs (Game Master) are posting the updates of the game in their own blog rather than posting it on the official website.

Two GMs of Philippine Ragnarok Online are using their Game Master status to attract users to come to their site. Now, they even place game updates on their blogs rather than announcing it on Ragnaboards (the official forum of pRO) or on the official pRO site. Users now question the actions of these two GMs as what is their reason behind this.

Level Up! Games will be giving away FREE game cash for Ragnarok, Flyff, Pangya, Freestlye, and Khan game accounts from July 24 upto August 31, 2007. The free giveaway is their way of celebrating their 5th year.

Starting July 24 up to August 31, 2007, Level Up! Games will randomly and secretly insert the following currencies to an active user's (recently logged-in user) game account: 400 Coupons for Flyff, 1,000 Rok Points for Ragnarok, 330 Blingies for FreeStyle, 1,000 Cookies for Pangya, and 250 Tugriks for Khan!

You only need to be an active user or a recently logged-in player to qualify. For Ragnarok players, if you have topped up your game account lately, you are also qualified!

But be sure to log-in and check you game accounts regularly – because the free game cash will only last for 24 hours! Once you receive your game cash, spend it immediately!

Check out the complete mechanics below on how you can qualify in the Level Up! Anniversary Bonanza:

MECHANICS:

1. All active users (those who have logged in at least once from April 18 to July 16 2007) are qualified

2. Accounts created AFTER July 16, 2007 are not qualified

3. For Ragnarok users, there will be an additional qualifier: the user must have
topped up at least once during April 18 to July 16, 2007

4. All qualified accounts will be inserted with game-cash VALID FOR 24 HOURS as per below:
- 400 Coupons for Flyff
- 1,000 Rok Points for Ragnarok
- 330 Blingies for FreeStyle
- 1,000 Cookies for Pangya
- 250 Tugriks for Khan!

5. Unused game cash will be DELETED AFTER 24 HOURS.

6. The dates are secret! So check everyday!

7. Promo Period is from July 24 to August 31, 2007

Razor Ramon Hard Gay (レイザーラモン HG, Reizā Ramon HG?, occasionally HG, Razor Ramon Sumitani or just Hard Gay) is the performing name of Masaki Sumitani (住谷正樹, Sumitani Masaki?), a Japanese comedian, wrestler and tarento ("talent"). His act gained national attention and popularity when featured on the "Bakushō Mondai no Bakuten!" (Daibakuten) Saturday variety show on TBS Television in Japan, in 2005. He should not be confused with American professional wrestler Scott Hall, whose use of the "Razor Ramon" stage name predates Sumitani's. Although the WWE has trademarked the name "Razor Ramon" they have not responded against HG using the name Razor Ramon HG.

Thanks to his persistence, Hard Gay's latest accomplishment is to be included within the Japanese version of online golf game Pangya. All the familiar "HOOOOOOOOOOO!!!" and "Say say say..." expressions are immortalized within the game. And you can even buy Hard Gay items! I wonder if Level Up! Games would also offer them here :~)

I am not a fan of these online games but Glen insisted that I install Freestyle on my newly revived desktop. After downloading and updating the installer, the game won't start. My desktop computer has Windows Vista installed and the first error I encountered was a DLL permission error. This error is normal since Microsoft has decided to embed a lot of stupid and time consuming "security" measures for their new OS. I ran the program again as an administrator thus eliminating the DLL permission error. The next error I got was with Hackshield. Something like, "problem in antihacking function detected..."

I've visited the Level Up! boards and Googled a view sites that lead me to HackShieldSucks.com. It seems that Hackshield is not fully compatible with Vista. Being persistent, I emailed Level Up! for assistance and attached a screenshot of the exact error I got with all the exact details.

Here's the reply I got:

windows Vista Operating system is not yet compatible with all of LU Games. you may try if want but there's no assurance that it'll run smoothly

You can already see from the screenshot that the game won't even run. Haaay... techsupport... *whistles*

I just hope that hackshield updates their program as a lot of poor US consumers are already having Vista nightmares. I need to level up my level 6 player in Freestyle :~)
