My favorite assassin game originated from PC-Game is now on the big screen! Agent 47 (Olyphant) has been educated to become a professional assassin for hire. His most powerful weapons are his nerve and a resolute pride in his work. 47 is both the last two digits of the barcode tattooed on the nape of his neck, and his only name. The hunter becomes the hunted when 47 gets caught up in a political takeover. Both Interpol and the Russian military chase the HITMAN across Eastern Europe as he tries to find out who set him up and why they’re trying to take him out of the game. But the greatest threat to 47’s survival may be the stirrings of his conscience and the unfamiliar emotions aroused in him by a beautiful, damaged girl.
I earlier posted a picture of hot gamer babeMaria Ozawa's pink PlayStation while holding her controller. A few had emailed me asking for other proofs if Maria Ozawa is indeed the one holding the controller. Well here, you have it. Picture after the jump.
I wonder if she also owns a pink PSP or other video game consoles.
Hottest gamer babeMaria Ozawa already owns a pink Nintendo DS Lite, now she bought a new pink slim-type PlayStation 2. As she said on her official site, she loves the cuteness and color of the controller, the PS2 console, and the memory card. Quoted from her site:
As I surf the net, which is normally what I do during weekends, I stumbled upon a website claiming that CAPCOM will release an anime version of Devil May Cry.
So to confirm it, I've used the most powerful tool in the internet which is.... *ehem* *cough* GOOGLE *cough*.... with my amazement it's hell true!!!!!
Devil May Cry is an upcoming anime series based on the video game series created and owned by Capcom. It is scheduled to debut on the WOWOW TV network in Japan on June 14 of 2007, and will run 12 episodes.
The show is being produced by the anime studio Madhouse and is being directed by Shin Itagaki. Bingo Morihashi, one of the writers for the second, third and fourth games, is also on the writing staff.
A teaser-trailer, released on the show's official site, featured pre-production artwork of Dante, the primary protagonist and playable character of the video games, and confirmed him as the show's main protagonist.
A second trailer released at the 2007 Tokyo International Anime Festival showed actual animation from the show and included a character and cast list, featuring both new characters and other characters from the games.

Philippine Star recently published an article why Sony has not released the PlayStation Portable / PSP officially in the Philippines. Sony Philippines blames the rampant piracy of the PlayStation games and their memory cards in the Philippines that Sony Japan decided not to officially release the PSP here. The PSP is currently available through import stores and the gray market.
Sony urged to state real reason for not bringing Playstation PSP to RP By Marianne V. Go Publication Date: [Monday, March 19, 2007]
Intellectual Property Office Philippines Director-General Adrian Cristobal Jr. criticized yesterday Sony Philippines for making it appear that Sony’s decision not to bring in its popular Playstation PSP to the Philippines is due to rampant piracy.
In an interview with The STAR, Cristobal felt offended at Sony’s insinuation that continued rampant piracy is behind its decision not to bring in its PSP product to the Philippines.
Cristobal pointed out that even though China is known to be more at the forefront of intellectual property rights piracy, Sony still chose to sell its PSP units there because of the huge Chinese consumer market.
Thus, Cristobal argued, Sony’s hesitancy to directly sell its PSP here in the Philippines is due more to lack of market rather than IPR piracy.
Sony Philippines president Hiroaki Kobayashi had previously told The STAR that the continued rampant piracy of its Playstation software is one reason why Sony Japan is hesitant to sell its PSP units in the Philippines.
Kobayashi said that almost all available Playstation software being sold in the Philippines are pirated copies.
Aside from its Playstation software, Kobayashi said, its memory stick for its digital cameras and video cams are also being pirated.
Sony, Cristobal further revealed, has not actually been coordinating closely with IP Philippines in helping crack down on its IPR violators.
Sony, like most other private IPR holders, Cristobal said, privately pursue their own enforcement and prosecution and coordinate more closely with the National Bureau of Investigation and the Philippine National Police.
However, Cristobal appealed to Sony and other recent vocal complainants such as Philip Morris and Levi’s International to coordinate with IP Philippines.
Cristobal noted that the complaints of Sony, Philip Morris and Levi’s appear to be part of a lobby to have the Philippines retained in the United States Trade Representative (USTR) watchlist as the Philippines is currently undergoing its annual review.
The USTR review, Cristobal said, started in February and a report is expected by next month. Cristobal is hoping that the Philippines would be able to "graduate" out of the list, but would not be surprised at the country’s continued retention on the watchlist.
What's funny about what Cristobal said is that Sony should coordinate with them to help stop the piracy of their PlayStation software. Coordinate? Sony doesn't need to coordinate with them, piracy of PlayStation games are so rampant that you could even see them on the streets:
Sony Philippines should reconsider their strategy. Not all Filipinos support piracy, one good example is the guys over at Pinoy-N.com that support Nintendo's original games even though their prices are 10x more expensive.

A bad day for Nintendo and Sega. The American version of Sony's PlayStation 2 has hit the stores. The system retails for about $299 and has 20 launch titles. Some of the games mentioned were Tekken Tag, Midnight Club, Smuggler's Run, Street Fighter EX3, Ridge Racer. According to Sony, the system has the ability to play DVD movies and ALL existing PlayStation CD's.
In line with this, Nintendo timely released The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask for the N64 to compete with the launch of Sony's PS2.

Upon a recent visit to SM City North EDSA, Rocky and I were surprised to see video game stores selling.... *drum roll please* PLAYABLE PIRATED PS2 CD GAMES! For as low as P250 each, the games are now selling like hotcakes since the introduction of the PlayStation 2 modchips that allows pirated games to be played. I thought the Philippine government has been winning the fight against piracy? I guess not. Sony Computer Entertainment reported that their shiny new system is pirate proof. The new DVD format will give pirates a hard time to copy the games but there are still PlayStation 2 games that are being released as CDs. CDs can be easily duplicated by pirates and together with the modchip developers, PlayStation 2s can now read copied or backup games in CD format.
How long do you think until the DVD format can be copied?
