Sony Building - PS4 release countdown last night, just before midnight
Despite the fact that I live in the country of Sony, I actually had the misfortune of getting the PlayStation 4 over a month after you guys in the Philippines did. Nevertheless, February 22nd has finally arrived, and now the PS4 is available in Japan. I wanted to make sure I was home when the delivery guy came today, so I waited about 8 hours in my apartment (had no idea what time it was going to arrive). Every time I thought I heard someone in the hallway, I would get really excited. I felt like a kid again!

FOREMOST FILIPINO boy band 1:43, the original hit makers of the song “Sa Isang Sulyap Mo,” has once again stirred the interest of Pinoy netizens and radio listeners with their catchy gay-themed single.

Now a certified radio hit, the song “Hayop Sa Ganda” composed by the group’s road manager and musician Urie Tesorio, pays tribute to the incomparable pulchritude of Filipino transgender women. Its official music video featuring Vice Ganda’s prominent sidekick Negi and Miss Tourism Queen International 2012 Kevin Balot is expected to break online two week from now.

The media outside Japan has been making a big deal about how PS4 pre-orders ran out within minutes last October 5th, and on a second release date (the 10th). That may be true for those dates, but Sony still has more units planned for release and they are currently available at several stores.

I had been writing a somewhat long entry about my thoughts concerning the game show and next gen gaming, but unfortunately due to this thing called "life", it seems I'll never be able to complete it. Work, family matters, and various commitments kept propping up, and now it's been over a week since TGS. I've decided to call it quits and instead just post random pictures I still have on my hard drive from the expo.

The second day started with a 90 minute wait at the Grand Theft Auto V line. I actually already have GTA V for PS3, but they were giving away Los Santos t-shirts for trying the demo, so I figured I should drop by.

Aside from those mentioned in the previous article, the only other game I got a chance to demo was a very interesting indie iOS game called "Space Qube". It's a scrolling shooter with cute oversized pixel graphics, like Minecraft, and while the gameplay itself wasn't anything particularly special, it had a unique spaceship generating system.

Tokyo Game Show 2013 kicked off yesterday, and I was very excited to see what Sony and Microsoft had to offer. This is, after all, the year that their next-gen consoles are coming out (well, at least in the West). Being a PS3 owner, I had more to relate with Sony, and so their booth was the first place I checked out.

It's September, and that means the Tokyo Game Show will be once again held at the Makuhari Messe in Chiba. The expo is set from September 19 to 22, with business days on Thursday and Friday, and public days over the weekend. 200 exhibitors and 1,600 booths are expected to participate at the event. Just like last year, the number of visitors is estimated to reach over 200,000, though you can expect visitor records to be broken at TGS 2013 as there are two next-gen home consoles on display starting tomorrow. This year's theme: Limitless Evolution.

The Logitech G27, released in 2010 to replace the G25, is a steering wheel game peripheral for the PC, PS3, and PS2. It's a pretty old device by now, yet three years later it remains to be the best mid-range racing wheel which rivals some of the more high-end options.
