Goodbye Yahoo, Hello Altaba!
Yahoo has been around for what 22 years? for internet kiddos like me Yahoo has always been there so news like this is met with a twinge in my heart.
If I remember correctly Yahoo was the original search site used in the 90's before eventually Google took over.
As per reports Yahoo has been sold to Verizon for 4.8 billion USD. The name Yahoo will be changed to Altaba.
Both Yahoo CEO Marissa Mayer and co-founder David Filo are leaving the company once the transaction with Verizon is complete.
