Niantic Launches Lapras Event In Japan

Niantic is having a Lapras event from November 11,2016 to November 23, 2016 in Tohoku Region, Japan.

This Lapras event will spawn multiple number of Lapras in Iwate Prefecture, Miyagi Prefecture, and Fukushima Prefecture which all fall under Tohoku Region. These were the areas affected by the tsunami in 2011 and Niantic is taking the opportunity to launch an event. The post encourages people to take a trip to enjoy the Tohoku region and catch lots of Lapras.

Niantic calls this event a "phenomena" and it is possible that more of this event will happen in the future.
