Saturn Sales Hit 1.7 Million in U.S.

January 22, 1997 -- Sega Enterprises Ltd. has announced that its 32-bit Saturn system has sold 1.7 million units in the U.S. This total accounts for all sales through the end of December and was propelled by a campaign whereby Sega included three games with each system for $199. The "three pack" sales campaign will continue through March 97.
