3G Powered Console to Hit Brazil in July 2009


Zeebo Inc. (formerly TecToy) will be releasing a new video game console called the Zeebo. It is the first Brazilian designed computer gaming system and will solely rely on game downloads via the 3G mobile network. It will be released first in Brazil and after that, it will be licensed for other countries.

Zeebo uses the same ARM processor found in Xperia X1. All the games will be downloaded over 3G, no discs or cartridges. According to Zeebo Inc., they've already have 300 titles coming and some of them include Crazy Taxi, Street Fighter Alpha, and Quake.
