The Curious Case of The Poller ID #juanvote
The Poller ID®! Nope its not the voter’s identification card. Its the piece of rubber that is proliferating in the wrists of people as of late. People normally call them baller ids.
The campaign managers have made use of a concept popularized by Nike a few years back and made Lance Armstrong’s foundation a few million bucks richer. The yellow rubber strap with the bold words Livestrong have been replaced by Pinoys with the requisite politicians name. Ahhh Filipinos are indeed smart (but I’m not sure if them choking hazards are made in China or not).
Today we can see Gardo for Mayor or Pedro for President in thousands of Filipinos' wrists, but I guess the more appropriate name for them are not baller ids but Poller IDs®!
