(UPDATE) Alodia Gosiengfiao and Luis Manzano

ABS-CBN's Darla Sauler found himself in the middle of the cosplay/otaku world after posting pictures of Filipina cosplayer Alodia Gosiengfiao and Luis Manzano on her blog last October 24.

SPOTTED! Luis Manzano, kasama ang bagong babae sa buhay niya?!

May nag-send sa akin ng photo na ito. Ang babaeng ito raw ang bagong babae sa buhay ni Luis Manzano! Gosh! Sino siya? Abangan ang ibang detalye as soon as may makuha ako.

Last Saturday, he posted more photos of Luis and Alodia,

Heto ang ilan pang photos na dumating sa e-mail ko, showing Luis Manzano and the alleged new girl ng buhay niya na until now ay hindi pa lumalabas ang tunay na katauhan - at koneksyon nilang dalawa.

Pero the photos this time came with a few statements from Luis and the girl. Nang makausap daw ng aking source si Luis at pina-describe sa kanya ang girl na ito, Luis said : "Nakasama ko na siya sa isang project before nung mag-host ako para sa isang event nila . . . We talked, kuwentuhan, ganon. For one thing, she's very out of the box... She has so much energy..."

Nang turn naman daw nung girl na i-describe si Luis, heto ang sabi niya : "Luis is a good old friend of mine... He is very 'makulit' in a fun and funny kind of way!"

His blog was immediately flooded with angry comments from both fans and haters of Alodia. This prompted him to post a twitter update addressing Alodia's "White Knights" and supporters.

To all White Knights / Alodia-supporters, may message po ako sa inyo sa Luis-Alodia post ko sa darlasauler.com ☺

I don't know if this was a PR stunt from ABS-CBN or just some random guy/girl emailing ABS-CBN's Darla Sauler some old photos. Showbiz and cosplay, SRSBNS.

UPDATE: It seems this is a publicity stunt by ABS-CBN. A Facebook update from Maricar Arraiza Gutierrez mentions Alodia's new show on ABS-CBN:

I'm really wondering what type of show this is "Show" seems to be too generic of a term. Wag kang magagalit ah, this is only my opinion. I'm not trying to insult her or anything, but I don't think she's fitted to host TV shows. I'm basing this opinion from the MOGTV shows and such that I've seen so far. And she can't really act, either. It would only look just like the Kim Chiu level of acting, if she would act. I don't know, there seems to be something lacking. Perhaps, it also needs a lot of getting used to, in that profession. The music video where she was in was kinda okay, though. Because, well, as you know, that's a music video. Talking in a music video is not really necessary. XD

I've discussed Alodia's acting with an award-winning actress. According to her, all Alodia needs is acclimatization -- to get used to being in front of the camera.

haha meron talagang "white knights" associated kay Alodia. Some folks think na yun yung mga guys na nakapaligid kay Edjie protecting her like knights. Hindi ko alam identity nila but I was once mistaken as a white knight before. Anyway, ibang level na si Alodia and I think there are changes now on how and when to approach her. For her own sake na rin

True, it really shows that she's not used to film cameras. But she's great on photo shoots, however. Everything can be fixed with a little more training and experience. :)
