L.A. Noire Honored as First Videogame to Make Official Selection of the 2011 Tribeca Film Festival

My dark horse pick for 2011 Game of the Year becomes the first videogame to make the official selection of the 2011 Tribeca Film Festival.

“What Rockstar and Team Bondi have accomplished with L.A. Noire is nothing less than groundbreaking,” said Geoff Gilmore, Chief Creative Officer of Tribeca Enterprises. “It’s an invention of a new realm of storytelling that is part cinema, part gaming, and a whole new realm of narrative expression, interactivity, and immersion. We are poised on the edge of a new frontier.”

I think it's safe to say that story-wise, this will be a lot better than Sucker Punch...
