Nintendo's Famicom Celebrates Its 30th Anniversary!

Today marks the 30th anniversary of the one of the legendary gaming console that turned the world around, Nintendo's Family Computer a.k.a FamiCom or NES.

Like other kids around my age, I also have fond memories playing FamiCom. There were countless of games that were released, and most of them became legendary ones such as The Super Mario Borthers, on which is popular until today. There's also Contra which popularized the secret konami code, Up up down down left right left right B A Select Start. And also the game that turned an entire company from bankruptcy to one of the richest ones today, Final Fantasy, was also a FamiCom game.

The GameOPS staffs are also fond of FamiCom so much that we do annual Duck Hunt tournament at ToyCon every year (but the last one was last 2010) and sometimes, Retro Gaming Nights whenever we are bored or just felt like playing.

I've posted a list of the Top FamiComs I usually play when I was young, here.

How about you guys? What are your favorite FamiCom games?
