Namie Amuro Tapped to Perform Death Note Movie Theme Songs

Japanese Pop Queen Namie Amuro will perform two songs for the upcoming live-action "Death Note" sequel titled "Death Note Light up the NEW world"

Namie will perform the film's insert song "Fighter", a dance track written from the point of view of the character Misa Amane. The theme song "Dear Diary" is a ballad inspired by the "Light up the NEW world" subtitle.

A three-episode prequel mini-series titled "Death Note NEW GENERATION" will premiere on Hulu on September 16 while the "Death Note Light up the NEW world" movie will open in Japan on October 29. A Netflix version of Death Note will also be released next year.
