Generation 2 Confirmed On Pokemon Go
The team over at The Silph Road reverse engineered the latest APK of Pokemon Go and found out that Generation 2 Pokemon were added to the source code.
100 new Pokemon ranging from Chikorita (Pokedex #152) up to Celebi (Pokedex #251) are now referenced at the game's code. Meaning, in the near future, these Pokemon will finally appear in game. As of writing, movesets and models are not yet available for the generation two Pokemon, but it means that it will be there one day.
Another event was silently implemented by Niantic and that is adding bonus to spinning Pokestops.
