Philippine Airlines Apologizes to Vice Ganda for Delayed Flight and Unserviceable Seats
Vice Ganda, a popular comedian and host in the Philippines, called out Philippine Airlines (PAL) on social media for a delayed and allegedly overbooked flight from Bangkok to Manila on October 24, 2023.
Vice said that she was almost offloaded from the flight because her seat was given to another passenger. The airline later clarified that the flight was not overbooked, but that two business class seats were deemed unserviceable and had to be downgraded to economy class.

Vice contested the airline's explanation, saying that she was told by PAL staff that the flight was overbooked. She also expressed her frustration with PAL's customer service, saying that it was "napakapanget" (very ugly).

PAL has since apologized to Vice and offered to explain the situation to her. The airline also said that it is committed to looking into the matter and taking appropriate action.
