DJI Brings High-Tech Farming to the Philippines with New Agricultural Drones
Farming in the Philippines just got a serious tech upgrade. DJI, the global leader in drone technology, has rolled out two new agriculture drones in the country, the Agras T50 and T25. These machines are designed to help farmers work smarter, not harder, by offering high-efficiency tools that take the guesswork out of crop spraying, seeding, and field mapping.
DJI isn't new to this game. Since launching its agriculture division in 2015, the company has been focused on creating drones specifically for the farming world. Their goal is clear: help farmers boost productivity while keeping things sustainable and cost-efficient.
Smarter, Faster, and More Efficient Farming
The Agras T50 is built for large-scale farming. It can spray up to 50 acres per hour, handle up to 40kg of liquid, or spread 50kg of dry materials. It even comes with a high-powered spraying system that adjusts droplet size and flow rate depending on the job, perfect for everything from wide-open fields to dense orchards. What makes the T50 especially reliable is its smart tech, like radar and vision sensors that help it dodge obstacles and fly smoothly over hilly terrain. Add in its fast-charging battery and powerful transmission system, and you’ve got a drone ready for serious farm work.
For smaller farms, the Agras T25 is a more compact version with many of the same features. It’s lighter, easier to carry, and ideal for solo farmers working on small to mid-sized land. It can spray or spread up to 25kg and includes one-tap takeoffs, automatic route planning, and quick charging to keep operations moving smoothly.
A Global Success Now Taking Root in the Philippines
Globally, DJI's agriculture drones have taken off. By the end of 2024, around 400,000 units were being used around the world. That’s nearly double from 2020. And the benefits? Major savings on water, fertilizer, and fuel, not to mention reduced emissions. This kind of smart farming helps preserve the environment while feeding more people.
Now, with the launch of the T50 and T25 in the Philippines, DJI is looking to build a local network of distributor partners. They’re inviting businesses, entrepreneurs, and agri-tech companies to get involved and help bring this cutting-edge tech to Filipino farms. Distributors get access to training, technical support, marketing tools, and exclusive sales rights in their areas.
With these tools, DJI hopes to make precision farming more accessible to Filipino farmers, allowing them to boost their yields, lower their costs, and reduce waste, all while taking better care of the land.
