GTA VI's New Trailer Explores Vice City, Romance, and Criminal Life

Rockstar Games just gave fans another peek into the world of Grand Theft Auto VI, and it’s clear things are heating up, both emotionally and criminally. In the newly released second trailer, we finally get a closer look at the game’s main characters, Jason and Lucia, and their complicated relationship that blends love, crime, and chaos.

The trailer begins by showing Jason in what looks like a pretty average day, repairing a roof, chatting with a guy named Brian, working out, and buying beer. But of course, in true GTA fashion, there’s also a robbery thrown in. While all this is happening, Lucia is still behind bars. It’s only after she’s released that the real story kicks in.

Jason picks her up as soon as she’s out, and from there, the two dive right back into the criminal world. From the way they move and interact, it’s clear there’s more than just teamwork between them. Their bond seems romantic, but things aren’t simple, especially with federal agents apparently tracking their every move.

The setting is once again the sunny, chaotic Leonida, which longtime fans will recognize as an updated take on Vice City. It’s a vibrant, dangerous playground that players are eager to explore more fully when the game finally drops.

Unfortunately, that wait just got longer. Rockstar has confirmed that GTA VI won’t be out until May 2026, missing its originally announced 2025 window. The delay is reportedly due to the studio wanting to polish the game to meet its high standards. That move, however, came with a cost, Take-Two Interactive, Rockstar’s parent company, saw its stock price tumble by as much as 16% after the announcement.

So while the new trailer gave fans more to get excited about, it also means patience is required. Still, with a gripping story, compelling characters, and a rich setting, GTA VI looks like it’ll be worth the wait.
