Samsung Unveils Super Slim Galaxy S25 Edge
Samsung has finally pulled the curtain on the Galaxy S25 Edge, and it’s clear the tech giant is going all-in on sleek design. After months of speculation, the new phone is now official, standing out with a razor-thin body that measures just 5.8mm thick and weighs only 163 grams. That makes it one of the slimmest smartphones on the market today, likely a direct move to challenge Apple’s rumored iPhone 17 Air, expected later this year.
The ultra-thin profile does come with a trade-off. Battery capacity is a modest 3,900 mAh, enough for a day of regular use but not the powerhouse some users might hope for. It supports up to 25W wired charging, reaching around 55% in 30 minutes, but only if you use a Samsung adapter, which isn’t included in the box. Wireless charging is supported as well.
Samsung didn’t hold back when it comes to visuals. The S25 Edge is equipped with a vibrant 6.7-inch QHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X screen. It features a variable refresh rate from 1 to 120Hz for smooth scrolling and sharper visuals. Protecting the display is Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2, while the back uses Gorilla Glass Victus 2, giving it durability alongside elegance.
Performance-wise, the S25 Edge is powered by the latest Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy chip. It comes with 12GB of RAM and storage options of 256GB or 512GB, plenty of room for media, apps, and files.
Photography gets a boost with a 200MP main camera that includes optical image stabilization and what Samsung calls "2x optical-quality zoom." There's also a 12MP ultrawide lens with autofocus for close-up and macro shots. On the front, a 12MP selfie camera sits in a punch-hole notch.
This phone is built for durability too, with an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance and a titanium frame that adds a premium touch. It runs Android 15 with One UI 7, supports Samsung DeX, and is loaded with modern features like under-display ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, dual stereo speakers, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, and UWB support.
Color choices include Titanium Silver, Titanium Jetblack, and Titanium Icyblue, all aiming to appeal to those who want a futuristic but classy look.
As of now, the Galaxy S25 Edge is available for pre-order in the U.S. starting at $1,099.99 for the 512GB variant, thanks to a double storage promotion. Shipping starts on May 30. There’s no official word yet on when it will land in the Philippines or other regions.
