Starlink Raises Monthly Fee in the Philippines

If you're a Starlink user in the Philippines, brace yourself for a noticeable price bump. The monthly subscription fee for their residential service has gone up from PHP 2,700 to PHP 3,800 starting May 16, 2025.

Emails have already started rolling out to inform current subscribers about the adjustment. To soften the blow, Starlink is giving out service credits to existing users. These credits cover the difference between the old and new rates and will be automatically applied to the next bill.

As for new subscribers, the new price tag of PHP 3,800 kicks in right away. If that feels like a deal breaker, Starlink offers a bit of flexibility. New users who decide the service isn’t for them can request a full refund on both the hardware and the subscription. But there’s a small catch: the full refund is only available if the hardware was bought within the last 30 days.

For those who purchased the equipment within the past year but are outside that 30-day window, a 50% hardware refund is still available.

This update might be frustrating for budget-conscious users, especially with internet bills already eating up a good chunk of monthly expenses. Still, Starlink remains one of the few options for fast and reliable satellite internet in areas where traditional broadband services are limited or unavailable.
