F4 Reunion in the Works? Taiwanese Heartthrobs May Return to the Stage in 2026

It looks like fans of early 2000s Asian pop culture are in for a major throwback. Taiwanese boy band F4, known for capturing hearts across Asia during their heyday, are reportedly working on a concert comeback to mark their 25th anniversary in 2026.

According to Taiwan’s Mirror Media, the members have finally agreed to reunite after years of going their separate ways. This reunion is being arranged by B’in Music, the same label that successfully brought back another iconic Taiwanese group, Energy, in 2024.

For those who need a quick refresher, F4 shot to fame after starring in the 2001 Taiwanese drama Meteor Garden. That series wasn’t just a hit, it was a cultural earthquake. The show’s popularity launched the careers of Jerry Yan, Vic Chou, Ken Chu, and Van Ness Wu, who then formed the group F4 and released albums, toured Asia, and became household names across the region.

Here in the Philippines, Meteor Garden became a massive hit when it first aired on ABS-CBN, igniting what many now remember as the beginning of the Asianovela craze. And if you're feeling nostalgic, ABS-CBN is currently re-running Meteor Garden on Kapamilya Channel and A2Z—proof that the show's magic hasn’t faded.

Over the years, the four members pursued different paths. Jerry Yan remained active in drama and variety shows, Vic Chou expanded his acting career (with a new series called The World Between Us: After The Flames on the way), Van Ness Wu leaned into commercial gigs and variety shows, and Ken Chu is now involved in livestream selling. Their last performance together was way back in 2013 at Jiangsu Television’s Spring Festival Gala.

Behind the scenes, differences in personality and lingering tensions reportedly made the reunion tricky to pull off. Each member is also represented by a different agency, which added more layers of complexity. But thanks to the overwhelming success of Energy’s comeback and F4’s enduring fanbase, B’in Music managed to get all four on board.

There’s talk that this won’t just be a one-time concert in Taiwan or China either. An Asian tour might be in the works, which would definitely send fans from the Philippines to Japan into full nostalgia mode.

If this reunion really happens, it could be one of the biggest comebacks the Asian pop scene has seen in years. And for those who grew up watching Meteor Garden, it's a chance to relive one unforgettable era.
