Philippines Finally Gets Its Own VALORANT Server
Good news for Filipino gamers, Riot Games has confirmed that VALORANT will finally have a dedicated server in the Philippines. Starting August 20 at 5:00 AM (PHT), the new Manila server will officially go live alongside Patch 11.04, giving local players a smoother and more stable gaming experience.
For years, most Filipino players connected through Hong Kong, often dealing with high ping and unstable connections. The new Manila server aims to fix that by lowering latency, reducing lag spikes, and making games feel more responsive. In other words, expect cleaner plays and fewer connection-related frustrations.
It is important to note that this is not a replacement, but an additional option. Players can freely switch between Manila and Hong Kong depending on preference, and competitive modes like Premier will still work regardless of server choice. Local teams using the Manila server can still qualify for bigger tournaments, including the Challengers Southeast Asia league.
Riot says the Manila server will function just like the other Southeast Asia pods, and players will see it listed as "MNL" under the server options.
This launch comes right after VALORANT’s 5th anniversary celebration, which heavily spotlighted the Filipino community. Riot rolled out projects such as a tribute video, a mini-documentary series called Humans of VALORANT, and even a large mural in Taguig City celebrating iconic Pinoy VALORANT moments.
Jason Roberto, Brand Manager for VALORANT Philippines, shared that this move is part of Riot’s ongoing push to support Filipino players. According to him, the new Manila server is not only about better connectivity but also about giving local gamers a more "hyperlocal" matchmaking experience that feels closer to home.
To make things even more exciting, Riot Games Philippines will be organizing a series of community tournaments nationwide to celebrate the launch. Fans are encouraged to watch VALORANT PH’s official pages on Facebook and Instagram for more details.
With this update, Filipino VALORANT players finally have something they’ve been asking for since day one, and it looks like the game is about to feel more alive than ever in the local scene.
