Rising Gaming Creator Sophy Joins NYMA Talent Management
The Southeast Asian gaming world just got more exciting. Popular gaming content creator and artist Sophy has officially signed with NYMA Talent Management, home to well-known names like Christian Bautista, Abi Marquez, Kristel Fulgar, Adelina Eugenio, Buji Babiera, and Raco Ruiz.
Sophy first entered the scene as a DOTA fan and began streaming in 2020. Since then, she has expanded her reach beyond gaming by trying her hand at presenting, hosting, and casting. One of her most notable gigs was hosting the 2023 DPC Southeast Asian Winter Tour, proving she has the versatility and personality to thrive in the esports space.
Her streaming lineup features a wide mix of titles that appeal to different types of gamers. From open-world adventures like The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Elden Ring, to competitive hits like DOTA and Marvel Rivals, to cozy favorites like Animal Crossing: New Horizons and Disney Dreamlight Valley, she makes sure her audience gets a taste of nearly every genre.
But Sophy’s creativity isn’t limited to gaming. She is also an artist who paints, crochets, designs her own stickers, and even builds Lego sets. This mix of hobbies adds a unique personal touch to her content, which has attracted a community of more than 220,000 followers.
Her partnership with NYMA comes at a time when the gaming market in Southeast Asia is booming. According to Niko Partners, the region is expected to have 332 million gamers by 2028, generating around USD 7 billion in revenue. With content creators shaping much of today’s gaming culture, Sophy is set to play a bigger role in this fast-growing space.
NYMA COO Kat Bautista believes this is the right moment to welcome Sophy into their roster. “The SEA gaming space is continuing to grow, especially with mobile games driving revenue. Sophy brings both positivity and a deep understanding of gaming and its fans,” she said.
Sophy is equally thrilled about this next step. She shared that she’s eager to collaborate with fellow creators and esports professionals while encouraging more Filipina gamers to shine in the industry.
NYMA, short for Now You Must Aspire, is known for helping Filipino talents break boundaries in media and entertainment. With Sophy now on board, the agency is poised to strengthen its presence in the gaming scene both locally and abroad.
