Anicorn celebrates PlayStation's 30 years with two stylish anniversary watches
PlayStation may have started its 30th anniversary celebration last year, but the party is clearly not over yet. Watchmaker Anicorn has joined the fun by revealing two special timepieces inspired by Sony’s iconic console brand. Both watches are set to launch on December 18, with one designed to be especially hard to get.
Anicorn is best known for blending pop culture with clean, modern watch design, and these new releases lean heavily into PlayStation nostalgia. The lineup includes the PlayStation Anicorn Play Symbol watch and a much rarer PlayStation Limited Edition Mechanical Watch.
The more accessible option is the Play Symbol watch, which runs on a quartz movement and comes in two visual styles. Fans can choose between Dark Mode and Light Mode, both featuring a round case, black leather straps, and a dial centered around the famous PlayStation logo and button icons. The Dark Mode version uses a black case and dial with bright, colorful symbols, while the Light Mode flips the look with a silver case, white dial, and muted gray icons. Both versions will arrive in transparent packaging and go on sale at 10 PM EST on December 18.
For collectors, the mechanical watch is the real highlight. This model takes direct inspiration from the original PlayStation console, starting with its octagonal stainless steel case. Inside is a Miyota 9039 mechanical movement that offers roughly 42 hours of power when fully wound. The dial places PlayStation symbols at the main hour markers, and even the crown and straps carry subtle gaming details. Sapphire glass and a 5 ATM water resistance rating round out the premium feel.
Anicorn confirmed that only 300 units of the PlayStation Limited Edition Mechanical Watch will be produced, making it a true collector’s item when it launches on December 18.
Alongside the watches, Anicorn is also releasing a Memory Capsule with NFC support, styled after the classic PlayStation memory card. The brand says users can store, view, and overwrite digital content on it, adding another nostalgic piece to the anniversary lineup.
