Uniqlo's Japan Game T-shirts

Since March of this year, Uniqlo has released a line of t-shirts with designs based on video games such as Pac-Man, Bomberman, Dig Dug, Galaxian, Mappy, Ape Escape, Resident Evil, Ace Attorney, Monster Hunter, Street Fighter II, Mega Man (Rock Man), Sonic the Hedgehog, Tekken, Parappa the Rapper, The Tower of Druaga, Little Big Planet, Ghosts'N Goblins, Ridge Racer, Sonic the Hedgehog, and Virtua Fighter. New shirt designs are sold at Uniqlo stores every month.

Yesterday, I bought my own Rock Man tee...

Sweet!! At the back, it has the life counter of Rock Man indicating 00 lives located just at the bottom of the collar. You can see a picture of it after the jump

I also wanted the Street Fighter II shirt with the instructions on how to do a Hadouken, but it has already sold out:

Other shirts that have sold out are the Monster Hunter designs, being that Monster Hunter is widely popular over here.

You can view the other t-shirt designs here.

For those who are not familiar with Uniqlo, think of it as the Bench or Penshoppe of Japan. They offer relatively inexpensive casual clothing and have branches in practically every department store and shopping mall in Japan.

There are actually a lot more t-shirt designs not found on Uniqlo's website. For example, there were several Pac-Man shirts I saw at the store that aren't uploaded on the site. These might be new designs released last July or this month.

Each t-shirt costs 1,500 Yen (roughly 750 Pesos), and after a few months, the shirt prices go down. Some of them are now only 500 Yen. I know 1,500 Yen might sound expensive in the Philippines, but that's actually pretty cheap for Japanese standards. T-shirts with very nice designs usually cost about 2,000 to 4,000 Yen.

If by any chance you are coming to Japan anytime soon, I suggest you check them out because I don't know until when they will be selling these t-shirts. They don't seem to restock designs that have run out.
