Nintendo Switch App Finally Lands in the Philippines and Southeast Asia

Gamers in the Philippines can now officially download the Nintendo Switch App on their smartphones. As of June 25, 2025, the app is available on both iOS and Android for users in the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Malaysia. This marks an exciting step for Nintendo fans in the region, especially with the Switch 2 officially launching tomorrow.

The app allows users to transfer screenshots and videos from their Nintendo Switch 2 consoles directly to their phones. It also serves as a handy companion for various games, including Zelda Notes, where you can access content related to titles like The Legend of Zelda.

While a Nintendo Switch Online membership is not required to download or use the app’s basic features, some of its tools may still need an active subscription. That said, it’s worth noting that as of now, Nintendo eShop and full Switch Online services are still not officially supported in these countries, so while this is a big win, there's still more to hope for.

For Filipino gamers, this update is a welcome sign that Nintendo is paying more attention to Southeast Asia, and we’re crossing our fingers that full regional support, especially for the eShop, comes next.
