Retro Gaming Nights: Dragon Ball Z: Super Saiya Densetsu

Dragon Ball Z: Super Saiya Densetsu is a classic game that brings back a lot of childhood memories. Even though it was released back in Japan in 1992, it still stands the test of time as one of the best Dragon Ball titles in history. The game's premise follows Goku and his friends as they go through various battles and quests to save the world from evil threats.

Let me be straightforward - this game is amazing! If you're a fan of Dragon Ball, then you absolutely cannot afford to miss out on this one. I used to play this for hours on end without even realizing how much time had passed. Even though I couldn't read Japanese back then, and there was no Google Translate to help me, it didn't stop me from enjoying this game to the fullest. To be honest, I still have no idea what most of the menus say. But that didn't detract from the overall experience. The gameplay is so engaging that I didn't need to understand everything to have a great time.

One of the standout features of the game is the battle system. The control is perfect, and the battles are fought using a card system, which is easy to understand and master. With five cards to choose from, luck plays a part in whether you get a powerful card or not. The battles are enjoyable, and there are no quirks in the gameplay.

The game's story is engaging, and it follows the Z fighters through the entire game. The characters are well-drawn and resemble their TV show counterparts. The graphics are decent, with the battles being the highlight of the game. The music complements the game events exceptionally well, although it may become monotonous on occasion. Nonetheless, it's remarkable how the music have stood the test of time and can still captivate listeners today with their rock-solid beats.

Finishing the game is a great accomplishment, but replay value is what sets this game apart. While some parts can be annoying, the game is still a lot of fun to play. However, finding the game may prove to be a challenge.

Overall, Dragon Ball Z: Super Saiya Densetsu is a trip down memory lane for those who grew up playing classic RPGs. It has great gameplay, a compelling story, and decent graphics and audio. This game is a must-play for any Dragon Ball Z fan.
