Nintendo Switch Users Facing Issues After Latest Update
Nintendo fans were buzzing with excitement earlier this week after the release of the new Version 20.0.0 update for the Nintendo Switch. But for some users, the update hasn’t gone smoothly at all. Instead of enjoying the new features, they’re now dealing with frustrating system errors.
Reports have surfaced from several Switch owners who say their consoles are showing "Error Code: 2206-1015" right after the update. The issue appears during startup, and once the error appears, the system doesn’t function properly. In other words, the console becomes unusable for some.
Nintendo has acknowledged the issue publicly through its Japanese support Twitter page, confirming that it’s aware of the error and currently looking into it. They’ve apologized to affected users and promised to share more details soon. For now, though, no official fix has been rolled out.

While the wait continues, some players have taken to online forums like the Nintendo Switch Help subreddit to offer temporary solutions. A few suggest trying to boot the device into safe mode and performing a system reset. However, these steps are not officially endorsed by Nintendo and could carry risks, especially if you’re not tech-savvy.
If you're thinking about updating your Switch and haven’t done so yet, it might be a good idea to pause for now. Holding off until Nintendo releases a confirmed fix or follow-up patch could save you from unnecessary trouble.
For those already affected, keeping an eye on Nintendo’s official channels is the best way to stay updated on any incoming solutions.
