Popular Vlogger Faces LTO Probe After Road Rage Video Sparks Backlash

A viral road incident in Zambales has put motorcycle vlogger Yanna Moto Vlog under scrutiny, as the Land Transportation Office (LTO) steps in following a public uproar over her behavior on the road.

The incident gained attention after a video circulated on social media, showing Yanna making a rude gesture toward a pickup driver. The clip quickly drew criticism, not just from netizens but also from government officials, who emphasized the importance of staying calm while driving.

LTO Chief Atty. Vigor Mendoza II said that the vlogger has been officially summoned and must explain why her driver's license should not be suspended or revoked. He noted that Yanna's behavior may reflect that she is "an improper person to operate a motor vehicle," especially given her role as a public figure with a large following.

In the video, Yanna can be seen flashing her middle finger at a pickup truck driver, accusing him of reckless driving. The man then confronted her calmly, explaining that the road conditions made it difficult to drive smoothly. Instead of de-escalating, the vlogger continued to argue and insult the man even after he walked away.

Mendoza stressed that influencers have a responsibility to set a good example. “She could have used her platform to promote road safety instead of encouraging aggression,” he said.

Transportation Secretary Vince Dizon echoed this message, stating that the government is determined to take a firm stance against dangerous driving behavior to protect the public. This aligns with President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s call to prioritize road safety across the country.

Although Yanna later issued a public apology, the LTO says it will still proceed with its investigation to determine whether penalties should be imposed.

This situation serves as a reminder: road rage can have real consequences, especially when you're in the public eye. The road isn’t a place to vent your anger, and your actions behind the wheel reflect more than just your driving skills, they show your character.
