Trump Mobile Unveils $47 Monthly Plan and Flashy Gold Smartphone
The Trump family has stepped into the mobile network game in the United States with a brand new service called Trump Mobile, paired with a flashy smartphone named the T1.
The newly launched network comes with just one subscription option for now, dubbed “The 47 Plan”, priced at $47.45 a month. It promises unlimited calls, texts, and data, plus extras like roadside help and 24/7 telehealth support. According to Trump Mobile, you’ll get coverage comparable to big carriers since it actually runs on the T-Mobile network through Liberty Mobile, a freedom-themed virtual operator.
If you’re feeling extra patriotic (and flashy), you can also grab their gold-colored T1 Phone for $499. A $100 deposit secures your pre-order today, but expect it to arrive sometime between August and September 2025.
The T1 is being pitched as an all-American smartphone designed and made in the US. It sports a 6.78-inch OLED screen with a smooth 120Hz refresh rate, Android 15, and even includes a rare sight these days, a 3.5mm headphone jack. It’s supposed to come with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage you can expand. Battery capacity sits at 5,000mAh, which should last a day easily.
However, some tech watchers noticed oddities in the phone’s listed details. The processor isn’t mentioned anywhere, and the camera section has some funny typos like calling the battery a “long life camera.” Image-wise, the T1 has a triple camera on the back: a decent 50-megapixel main shooter but only tiny 2-megapixel sensors for macro and depth, no ultrawide option.
Eric Trump is confident the new venture will shake up the mobile market. He shared on Fox News that they plan to run a call center from St. Louis, Missouri. Meanwhile, this new business push comes alongside fresh trademark filings for “Trump” and “T1” in the mobile phone and accessory market.
It’s interesting to see public figures jumping into telecom. Not long ago, Ryan Reynolds cashed out his Mint Mobile shares in a deal with T-Mobile, and now the SmartLess podcast hosts just launched their own SmartLess Mobile.
Here in the Philippines, we’ve seen something similar when Senator Raffy Tulfo rebranded a Cherry Mobile Flare S7 and called it “Tulfone” back in 2019, priced at ₱3,999. Whether Trump’s shiny gold phone finds the same popularity remains to be seen, but it’s definitely another headline-maker from the First Family.
