iWant is Back: ABS-CBN Rebrands Streaming Platform with New Look and Content

If you’ve been missing the “Filipino feels” on your streaming queue, the new iWant is ready to bring them back in full force. This July, the homegrown platform launched its newly revamped version across all devices, bringing with it a sleek redesign, stronger performance, and a sharper focus on telling authentic Filipino stories.

The rollout comes as part of ABS-CBN’s bigger digital transformation push. During a launch event dubbed “Unlock Your Feels: The New iWant Experience”, ABS-CBN execs, advertisers, creatives, and Kapamilya stars gathered to mark the official debut of this new chapter. But this isn’t just about a new logo or better tech, it’s about owning the emotion-driven storytelling that Filipinos are known for.

From OFW Roots to All-Device Reach

Long before streaming became mainstream, iWant (then known as ABS-CBNnow!) served Filipino workers abroad. It eventually evolved into iWant TV, then rebranded as simply iWant in 2018, bringing in original content like Glorious and Spirits: Reawaken. The platform later merged with TFC Online in 2020 to form iWantTFC, unifying audiences from the Philippines and overseas.

Now, it’s once again raising the bar with a new look, faster app, and upgraded viewing across smartphones, tablets, desktops, and smart TVs. According to iWant head Jolly Estaris, viewers can expect a smoother, more global-quality experience.

“We want iWant to capture everything Filipinos are, the kilig, the drama, the chaos, the heart,” Estaris shared. That means a lineup rich in genre diversity: reality shows, comedy, BL stories, documentaries, and even experimental narratives.

More Than a Platform—A Digital Home

ABS-CBN Digital head Jamie Lopez emphasized that the relaunch isn’t just about better streaming, it’s about building a digital space where Filipino stories live and breathe.

“iWant is not just a platform. It’s a home for every type of Filipino story, and for every kind of storyteller,” he said. The platform hopes to become the go-to place not just for viewers, but also for creatives looking to showcase unique voices.

Star-Studded Launch and Sneak Peeks

During the event, guests explored the “Museum of Filipino Feels,” an interactive exhibit featuring iconic iWant shows. Attendees also got to meet the cast of Love at First Spike and upcoming iWant Originals headliners like Shanaia Gomez and Kaori Oinuma. Kapamilya heartthrob Donny Pangilinan was also present, alongside directors and journalists behind new and upcoming titles.

Among the big reveals? Upcoming exclusives like Ghosting starring Fyang Smith and JM Ibarra, MMK: Director’s Cut, and the much-awaited BINI World Tour Stories arriving this September.

iWant will also showcase content beyond ABS-CBN, including select films and shows from GMA (available internationally), Viva, Regal, and other local studios like MavX, Nathan Studios, and Project 8.

Affordable and Accessible

All of this storytelling power comes at a price that won’t break the bank. For only ₱35 per month, users get access to original series, documentaries, and exclusives. The platform is also compatible with Chromecast, AirPlay, and most modern devices, so bingeing is now easier, whether you're on a mobile phone or a big screen.

With this refreshed version of iWant, ABS-CBN isn’t just keeping up with global streamers, it’s defining what streaming means for Filipinos, both at home and abroad.
