Nintendo Expands in Southeast Asia with New Singapore Office

Nintendo has officially stepped into Southeast Asia with the launch of Nintendo Singapore Pte. Ltd., a newly established branch aimed at boosting the company’s presence in the region. The move was finalized on September 26, 2025, and signals how serious the gaming giant is about growing its market beyond Japan and the West.

The Singapore office will be fully owned by Nintendo Co., Ltd. and will be led by Managing Director Takahiro Miura. With a capital stock of 8 million SGD, the company is expected to focus on strengthening operations, building local connections, and making it easier to bring Nintendo products and services closer to gamers in Southeast Asia.

What makes this interesting is that Singapore might only be the start. Nintendo has also revealed that it is exploring the idea of opening another office in Thailand. If that happens, we could be looking at a stronger Nintendo presence across the region.

For Southeast Asian gamers, this could mean better access to Nintendo events, faster product launches, and more localized activities. And honestly, one can’t help but wonder, could the Philippines be next on Nintendo’s list? With an active gaming community here, having a local Nintendo office would be a big win for us Filipino fans.
