Families Can Now Track Balikbayan Boxes Online
Waiting for a balikbayan box just became less stressful. The Bureau of Customs has introduced a new online portal that lets families check the status of balikbayan boxes sent by overseas Filipino workers, all in one place.
Instead of relying on updates from couriers or relatives abroad, beneficiaries can now visit the official tracking page at https://customs.gov.ph/home/overseas-filipino-worker-ofw/ to see where their boxes are. The site shows key shipment details, including container numbers, country of origin, and whether the box is already out for delivery.
This move is part of the government’s ongoing door to door distribution of thousands of balikbayan boxes that were previously held up. The Bureau of Customs said the portal is updated regularly as deliveries continue across different parts of the country.
Authorities also reminded the public that balikbayan box deliveries under this program are free. No one should be asking for payment at any stage of the process. For questions or concerns, families may contact the bureau directly through bayanibox(AT)customs(DOT)gov(DOT)ph
The large scale delivery effort covers around 130,000 boxes and follows instructions from President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. to release them as a goodwill gesture for OFWs and their loved ones. Distribution began on December 18 and is expected to wrap up by early January 2026.
With the new tracking system in place, families can now stay informed and avoid unnecessary worry while waiting for their holiday packages.
