SIBOL Men stay on top, secure another SEA Games MLBB gold

The Philippines once again proved its strength in esports as SIBOL’s men’s team successfully defended its Mobile Legends: Bang Bang crown at the 2025 SEA Games.

Playing at Chulalongkorn University, the Filipino squad delivered a dominant performance in the finals, sweeping Malaysia in a clean 4 to 0 series. The quick victory left little doubt about which team controlled the pace and strategy of the match.

This latest triumph marks the fourth straight MLBB gold medal for SIBOL Men since esports was first included in the SEA Games in 2019. Over the years, the team has built a reputation as the region’s standard bearer in the popular mobile title.

The gold-winning lineup featured Alston Pabico, Karl Gabriel Nepumuceno, Sanford Vinuya, Kiel Calvin Soriano, Jay Pee Dela Cruz, and John Carlo Roma, all of whom played with confidence and discipline throughout the tournament.

Mobile Legends: Bang Bang remains one of the most accessible esports titles in the region, playable on smartphones and tablets and free to download. For the SEA Games, however, all competitors use devices provided by the organizers to ensure a level playing field.

With another gold medal added to the tally, SIBOL Men continue to show why the Philippines is a powerhouse in MLBB on the international stage.
