Nihonsei: Rie Kugimiya
Konnichiwa minna-san! NIHONSEI is here once again to bring you yet another idea what's hot in the land of the rising sun.
Today, the "tsundere queen" Rie Kugimiya is our featured seiyuu.More about her after the jump.
Rie Kugimiya is type casted to tsundere loli roles due to her voicing of tsundere characters like Nagi (Hayate no Gotoku!), Shana (Shakugan no Shana), Louise (Zero no Tsukaima), and Yuuhi (Akaneiro ni Somaru Saka), Taiga (Toradora). Due to her popularity in such roles, some of her fans have named her as the Queen of Tsundere.Although she's popular in voicing childish and bratty girls, she is in fact capable of playing a broad spectrum of voices and has acted many roles ranging from a tomboy to a soft-spoken adult. Due to this, Rie won several awards in the coveted Seiyuu Awards
As with other popular seiyuus, Rie is a very talented singer. She was the lead vocals to the opening song "Preparade" of Toradora. She was also the singing voice of Iori Minase in the popular game THE iDOLM@STER.
